This yatra has started after a long gap of five years, when the pilgrimage was banned due to tension between India and China in eastern Ladakh. This first batch of 36 Indian pilgrims is being considered historic.

Before this, Kailash Mansarovar Bhawan’s manager Dinesh Garg and UP State Tourism Corporation’s engineer Sanjay Chaurasia applied sandalwood tilak to all the pilgrims as per the Sanatani tradition and while wishing them a happy religious journey, wished everyone a safe journey. Earlier last evening, a bhajan evening was organized in the Bhawan by the Tourism Department for the pilgrims going to Kailash Mansarovar located in Indirapuram, in which all the devotees became filled with Shiva and danced in devotion after listening to the bhajans of Lord Shiva. After this, kits were provided to all the pilgrims.
